Tyre Insurance - fam1x - 19-12-2011 03:15pm Has any one taken out tyre Insurance on their cars and is it worth considering. I found this site http://www.car2cover.co.uk/Tyre-Insurance says they will covere your tyres for 3 years for £260 which isnt bad considering a single tyre would cost more that that from Land Rover. Wonder what you guys think about that is it work taking out ? I've not taken anything like this before, but have folked out a lot of tyres RE: Tyre Insurance - ED209 - 19-12-2011 03:40pm how many tyres have you had to replace due to puncture in the last 3 years? For me none, In fact I have never had to replace a tyre due to anything other than normal wear in 17 years of driving. £260 will buy you a lot of £15 puncture repairs. So i personally would not bother. RE: Tyre Insurance - caroline11000 - 19-12-2011 03:50pm I won't be bothering! RE: Tyre Insurance - fam1x - 19-12-2011 04:24pm all 4 of them now 4 years. RE: Tyre Insurance - Straydox - 19-12-2011 04:31pm I'm not sure that's worth it. I've just taken a look at Event-tyres.co.uk - Web site for 235/60 18" (which would be std spec on a Pure) and assuming yours comes with Pirelli Scorpion Verde tyres and they are £206 fitted for a single tyre purchase or £181 each if you have 4 in one go. RE: Tyre Insurance - IKM - 19-12-2011 05:26pm Not worthwhile considering. Thanks though for highlighting it. RE: Tyre Insurance - ED209 - 19-12-2011 05:35pm Theres loads of mid range options too on blackcircles for 150-170 quid fitted. RE: Tyre Insurance - Daigriff - 20-12-2011 12:49am No not for me RE: Tyre Insurance - PhilSkill - 20-12-2011 12:55am Put the 260 quid in a savings account and use it if you puncture a tyre! RE: Tyre Insurance - ytshome - 20-12-2011 01:08am Save your money and put it towards a set of winter tyres for next year. |
