US differences in options? - Spytap - 18-12-2011 06:16pm

Before test-driving a Dynamic Coupe last night, I was under the impression that both Surround cameras and blind spot monitoring were standard - however the dealer said neither were installed. When I went home, I couldn't find the options to add them on RR's website, nor could I find anywhere where they were listed definitively as options or standard. Does anyone have any idea? I'm really liking the idea of picking up an Evoque, but RR's site and info isn't great about presenting useful info on market differences.

blind spot is not available (at least not on 5 door models) in US. Cameras are listed all over the US RR Evoque web site under:
Vision Assist Package

Package includes:
Headlamps - Automatic Adaptive Xenon HID with LED signature lighting
Automatic headlamp leveling
Headlamps - Automatic High Beam Assist
Surround Camera System with Towing Assist

I think it is also included in the premium package. the prem package seems to be standard on the dynamic.

According to KBB....for the U.S......surround view cameras are standard on Dynamic and Prestige under the Vision Assist Package for the Pure: http://www.kbb.com/land-rover/range-rover-evoque/2012-land-rover-range-rover-evoque-specifications/?spec_group=opt#spec-table

Thank you everyone for helping clear that up. I just let the salesperson know and his response ("Huh. News to me.") made me decide I might want to consider another dealership.

I could have sworn that the Dynamic that I test drove had the Blind Spot Monitor. The US web site lists the Vision Assist Package for the Dynamic as follows:

Vision Assist Package

Package includes:
Headlamps - Automatic Adaptive Xenon HID with LED signature lighting
Automatic headlamp leveling
Headlamps - Automatic High Beam Assist
Surround Camera System with Towing Assist
Blind Spot Monitoring

I think I may have figured out a little bit more about the Blind Spot Monitors. The car that I test drove was a coupe and it seems that the option is available on the coupe but not on the 5 door. When I placed the order for my Dynamic 5 door, they gave me a copy of their order sheet which lists what is included in each of the option packages. The Blind Spot Monitor is not listed anywhere on that sheet.

Who knows, maybe they will add the option later? It's too bad as I would have liked to have on my vehicle.
