Rims for winter Tyres - silkster007 - 15-12-2011 08:39pm
I am taking delivery of a Dynamic in Jan 12 (20 inch). I have the following tyres which I had on my BMW X5 MSport 4.0:
Pirelli Scorpion 235/65/R17
Does anyone know if I am able to fit these to FL2 rims?

Yes that is the correct size for 17inch wheels

Thanks. can these be fitted to the Dynamic? or must I buy 20 inch rims with 20 inch boots? I believe that the Dynamic arrives with summer boots, so winter boots are a must as I live in Germany.

As far as I know yes as all the brakes are the same ,freelander 2 wheels fit

Ok, now I need someone's expertise to tell me if I can safely fit the tyres and 17 inch rims to the Dynamic.

I cannot see any reason why not I will try a set on mine later today to check (pure sd4)

I thought maybe the magneride may be affected in some way? LR seem not to know the answer of are taking an extremly long time to respond.

Yes they will fit no problem, I have just swapped my 20" for a set of 17" FL2 wheeles I picked up on ebay for not a lot of money.

Do bear in mind that if you fit different size wheels to that delivered by the manufacturer you should notify your insurance company - in the even of a accident/claim the blighters will use any excuse including deviation from manufacturer specification/non approved part to find a reason not to pay up.
