Car Tax - Info - cjfp - 12-12-2011 08:30pm As I am due to receive my car somewhere towards the end of the month and didn't want to 'waste' a months road tax, I asked my dealer if he could tax it from 1 Jan plus the 'extra' December days and I would pay for the 'extra'. Received email today from my dealer saying that he could only tax car for "one year plus a week max' - having found this dubious [and having done more than this previously], I rang the DVLA - they said that you can tax a car for a year plus "either one, two or three weeks". I have informed my dealer of his error. RE: Car Tax - Info - PhilSkill - 12-12-2011 08:40pm Thats Interesting cjfp, this is something I did not know! I always thought is was a month minimum! RE: Car Tax - Info - fam1x - 13-12-2011 12:02am Wow that's a huge difference is that down to co2 emissions RE: Car Tax - Info - Ranger4 - 13-12-2011 12:12am (12-12-2011 09:51pm)fam1x Wrote: What is the road tax for the SD4 auto? £265 first year and then £190 for the following years..... If your paying £45000 for a car, then the difference in road tax is probably not going to be a major concern RE: Car Tax - Info - ChuckieB - 13-12-2011 12:14am (13-12-2011 12:02am)fam1x Wrote: Wow that's a huge difference is that down to co2 emissions Yep and the Si 4 is £445 in the first year. Some slight improvement to be had in subsequent years though. |
