Finally had to replace the battery in my keyfob today after warning came up on the dash. 5 minute job, use the metal key to unclip the case and battery pops out, had new one ready so it wasn't without power for more than a few seconds just in-case that has any bearing on it working.

Warning now gone.

Planning to replace my lettering as it's starting to discolour.

Templates I got were straight, so a bit of cutting and shaping to match the existing lettering and I now have templates for the front.

This image might be useful for someone wanting a Front Curved Template.

Finally done my Front Discs and Pads at 45000. Discs had got mentioned on the last couple of MOT's for corrosion, and Pads were low, so did the whole lot today.

Toolkit needed

Torx 50 for the disc bolt
18mm spanner for the Carrier bolts
7mm Allen key for the caliper slider bolts.
Piston retraction tool

Finally fitted the LED overhead lighting and footwell lights today, easy but fiddly job, definitely need something thin and plastic, and got caught out by the disable mode from the main light so couldn't get the footwell lights to work, only to realise they'd been deactivated. so hold the centre light for 5-10 seconds they came on, well 1 did till I turned the other LED round.

Haven't done the rear interior roof lights yet but will get to them.

Got to replacing my front lettering that was starting to discolour, so went for Black with silver edging, very pleased as it keeps the silver look from the side but gives the black effect straight on.

Loving reading this thread. Keep it up! Getting so many good ideas for little improvements (and detailing recommendations). So grateful.

Wasn’t sure when I read “Black with Silver edge” but after looking at your picture I like it Thumbs Up

Cheers doug, and glad you're enjoying herbert, I have the rounded black lettering too, I was undecided which to choose but figured if I didn't like the Black with silver i'd replace after the winter, but actually very pleased with the result.

Latest little issue, The Steering wheel buttons for Volume and Track started becoming intermittent and then stopped working all together, although the center button still worked. Occasionally I could get them to work, and the Dash mounted radio controls were working fine as normal.

So I took some kitchen roll and circled it around the button pad on the steering wheel to protect the leather, and sprayed some WD40 Contact Cleaner into the recesses around the button, allowed it to work for a bit, and then dried off.

Buttons all back to life and working fine again Thumbs Up, so I guess the contacts are getting dirty or dust ridden over time and stop making contact.

Saves buying a new Button pad and trying to work out how to get it out.
