Got the call I've been waiting for - mywillia - 17-11-2011 08:01pm
In another thread I said that I had every faith in my dealer and that I would maybe have to eat my words on the basis that I was still hopeful of getting my car in January 2012.
Well this afterrnoon I got the call from my dealer.
Factory Order is in.
Build date 16th Dec 2011
Delivery Date 19 Jan 2012
At the moment it looks like I'll not be eating my words. Today was a good day!

ED209, This was they delayed October Order Call that opened last week I believe. My dealer did say that the spec has helped my build date.

Thanks, i was told by my =dealer that the october call went through in october and wasnt delayed as such. Wonder if the order call is staggerd between dealers or do they all get the call on the same day?

As far as I know from what I was told by my dealer the October order call was delayed. I popped in to the dealership in Late October to look at a Firenze Red that they had in the showroom and whilst I was there had a chat to my salesman. He said that mine would most likely be submitted in the delayed October Order call in November. I was sceptical to say the least but now having a copy of the JLR order in front of me I would say the dealer was right.

This makes no sense..... My car has been on vista for ages, earlier than Oct order call......but build is not till 23rd Dec.....
