Drivers door lock - andyboy - 02-01-2024 12:24pm Anyone had any issues with the drivers door lock. It will lock on the keyfob but won't unlock. Every other door is OK they work fine. I have to use the passenger side door to open the drivers door from the inside RE: Drivers door lock - Woody179 - 05-01-2024 05:03pm Sounds like your driver's door lock actuator has failed, there are different part numbers for left and right locks and also if they are keyless or not. If I was you I would look at getting the part from John Craddock Limited - they have them all listed, I would only use a JLR part or one of reputable make as there are some very cheap ones available on ebay of unknown quality. It is a very fiddly job replacing the actuator, but there are various videos of how to do it on YouTube, one of which is linked below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GEfIiIAN9o RE: Drivers door lock - andyboy - 05-01-2024 05:22pm Thanks for that. My rear door on the near side is now playing up. RE: Drivers door lock - Woody179 - 05-01-2024 07:27pm Probably same fault, not unheard off for all the door locks to fail within weeks of the first lock failing, that happened on my previous Discovery 3, thankfully I didn't have to replace them myself, as it had extended LR warranty at the time. |
