Check engine light, oil temp warning. - Kevinmogs30 - 11-11-2018 01:32pm A few weeks ago I changed my oil, well the old gasket on the filter was stuck to the engine and I didn't realize it. I put on the new filter and as any mechanic could guess, most of the oil blew out and I guess what oil remained got heated and seat off the oil temp warning. I took off the oil filter and immediately new the problem, I replaced the filter and refilled the engine with oil. The car runs fine but the check engine light for oil temp is still on. I turn it off with my scanner and it comes right back on. If I turn it off and let the car sit about 10 hours and then start the car the light stays off, but after I drive the car and restart the light come right back on. Anyone have a solution on how to repair this? |
