Xenon delays - J77 - 14-09-2011 06:35pm
Was up speaking to salesman today and just in general chat he said all cars with xenons have been pushed back as there is some sort off problem them, don't know what didn't ask as I haven't ordered them..... Sorry. This may explain why some of you guys evoques are delayed.

I ordered my car yesterday.
I had the same advice from the dealer.
All cars with Xenons pushed back in production due to supply problems.
If i had ordered a pure without xenons I could have an October delivery.
On order : Pure SD4 5DR Auto- Black, Fogs, Xenon, Glass Roof, Fogs and style 4 19s.

There is a good chance that non xenon orders could be brought forwards to fill production slots if xenon supply is interupted.
My nov build was showing as 14th Oct at the weekend, and I was told it could move even more.

Tyke - what dealer is offering Pure's with October delivery? I placed a deposit last October, ordered in April and am currently scheduled for end November delivery.

Ordered mine in April, with a late Nov build, then told build date is 2nd Nov
3 weeks ago and when I went on 10/09/11 I was told that the build date has come forward to mid Oct. I ordered xenons ,so I don't know what's happening now. It seem like build dates are changing every week, so I'd
check with your dealer for an update.

I have not heard anything from my dealer but he did try to indicate to me that my September/October was more like November/December so I hope this does not delay more. I will see this weekend and will ask for details

The dealer I spoke to was Stratstone Doncaster.

You shoul dspeak to th edealer again, the date may come forward.

I've ordered Xenons. Have devided not to chase the dealer...If the date does move I'd expect them to get in touch...

Maybe I'm being difficult, but I simply don't think it's acceptable to take orders on vehicles that they can't honour or build. I switched from
Pure to prestige as I was told by the dealer they couldnt order pures/receive delivery until December at the earliest. Now I'm back to square 1.
Deposit paid Jan 10
order placed for pure April 11
changed to prestige as order not submitted by June
Prestige ordered june 11 with build slot 29/09
checked order last week at opening which was changed to 23/09
test drive Monday and now build slot December!

I spoke to LR on Tuesday and my dealer confirmed today that my car (which is FRed (earthquake!), PanRoof (cracking) and Xenons (no stock)!) is still showing build 14 Oct and delivery 28 Oct. I think I have everything crossed to hope it stays that way!
