Car is garaged overnight but when taken out for a short drive (7 mile) to work, locks do not work until weather has warmed up a bit, any ideas?

Further update. This only appears at the first time of locking after overnight garaging, subsequent locking/unlocking no problem. Could it be the receiver for the remote or the remote battery on the way out?

try your spare fob or change the battery.

Tried spare fob and all ok so it may just be the battery, will try other again tomorrow to confirm it is the battery.
