Price Breakdown - jayzon2186 - 13-09-2011 01:30pm

Hi all

Just going through my order and I'm a bit confused.

Noticed some people on here say the Sparkle Silver alloys are only a £450 extra

However, my bill has labelled them as 20" silver polished alloy wheels style 8 @ £1014.67

If Im not mistaken this isn't the Sparkle Silver wheel is it? Aren't they Style 6?

The Sparkle Silver wheels are actually on the car as we speak as we are buying out of the showroom.

How best may I approach the dealer about this mistake?

Other features include:

mudflaps @ £135.42 front and rear
carpet mats @ £91.67 (I though mats were standard on Prestige?)
Privacy glass @ £291.67

Do these prices sound about right?

Thanks guys

I paid an extra £450 for the style 6 sparkle silver alloys on my Prestige.
It was about an extra £950 on the pure I think.
Just tell them that it is the style 6 you want.

It is style 6 that are on the car however they have billed them as style 8, trying to pull a fast one do you think?

What about mats, are they standard on Prestige or do they have to be added as an extra?

Thanks

Hi, Just be dead straight with them. They tried to charge me £1000.00 too much and because of the way the show you the invoice it isn't dead straight-forward. So much so that I emailed him back and forth for three days with them saying the price was right. Eventually, I realised that the pre vat price was infact for the coupe and not the 3 door.

The mudflaps are reasonable if they are the fitted price for both together. My dealer wanted that much for each pair and Stratstone in Bury wanted over £150 to fit each pair, which is boardering on the ridiculous for what is a ten minute job. The privacy glass is the right price but as for the mats you do need to check which they are giving you. The prestige does come with the fancy carpet mats but we've also specified the rubber type (for muddy stuff) and they should be £96.00 including the VAT.

For what it's worth and after much too-ing and fro-ing, my dealer have eventually conceded and are price matching Duckworth, which is RRP - 15%. Cheers Steve

If it's a prestige you're buying mats are included.

Style 8 upgrade is £1250

Style 6 upgrade £450

And privacy £350

I would get them/you confirm which wheels they are

Their prices showing will exc VAT

Hell will freeze over before I buy any accessories from my dealer.

It is deffo style 6 that are currently on the car and thats what we want, however they have billed for style 8!

Will be bringing it up with the dealer later today, along with the mat issue.

Not happy!

Can't say 100% but think its highly unlikely to be style 8 on a demo car, you probably know far more than them. Probably a genuine error with that and the mats so no need to go in guns blazing, just point out their mistakes. Not defending them but as lots of things are different on each model, they need to learn it all. But then again that's their job!

Wont go guns blazing don't worry, I'm experienced enough to know that gets me nowhere!

As you say, it is their job, I shouldn't have to be pointing out mistakes especially relating to over charging.

Aren't wheel upgrades different prices depending on what model you are originally purchasing? Also, what 'style' ID of Silver Sparkle?
