Real world information on Active Driveline? - lukev01 - 24-10-2016 09:25pm

I will be doing many more miles from January 2017, estimate 22000 pa, nearly all motorway, so am thinking of trading my 2012 Freelander XS auto for an Evoque HSE Dynamic with the Active driveline but have not found any information on this.

So, in a nutshell, is it worth it? What could my real world mpg be? Currently about 32-36 mpg but if I could realistically get 50 it would be an easy choice!

SWMBO has had her Evoque for some time but after Defenders, Series trucks and lately a Freelander, I am going to be happy to join the community myself if I can justify it.

Thanks for all opinions in advance.Thumbs Up

The S2A is staying with me but not day to day, 70 miles per day would finish off my back!

My gut feel would be you'll get 40-44mpg, with a new Ingenium engined Evoque and Active Driveline on Mainly Motorway.

Don't hack it at 80+mph and expect that though!

The Evoque is a great Motorway car, and should mean the oil service intervals don't bite too early if not much town driving, unless the Motorway is stop/start every day!

It might increase your mpg by a little under 10% if you're lucky - will probably take 4-5 years to pay for itself at your mileage.
