Rear bumper protection guard - petrolhead - 18-07-2016 07:44pm My bumper is a little scratched so was thinking of fitting a stainless guard These are the choices and would like your thoughts please http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141794314453?euid=26bd09f4316e44128952c5343ce13aed&bu=43198140593&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121683299352?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT RE: Rear bumper protection guard - xz4 - 18-07-2016 08:13pm I prefer the second one. Less is more. 1st one is too fussy. RE: Rear bumper protection guard - petrolhead - 18-07-2016 08:47pm I know what you mean. I just wondered if the first one was better because it matches the style of the inner one? RE: Rear bumper protection guard - Irish-RRE - 18-07-2016 11:31pm I bought the second one and got it wrapped in black to suit colour scheme I have with the jeep, it's a nice simple addition. RE: Rear bumper protection guard - mstraka - 19-07-2016 02:34pm I've had the second style on my Evoque for three years. Its good quality but its a peel and stick item. The double stick tape at the ends of the plate lost its stick after a year. My advise is before installing it drill two small holes through the plate at each end. Do this before the installation as your drilling through stainless steel, which requires a special drill bit and a drill press. After installing with the tape finish off the holes in the cars sheet metal and secure with a couple small stainless finishing screws. It will look like a factory installation.
