RE: Adaptive Dynamics - Kimv - 29-01-2012 09:38am And if you had to chose between Adaptive Dynamics and Front Parkingsensors + Rear View Camera? All of those are options in Belgium which is where I buy the car. The Front Parking Sensors and the Camera have to be taken together (unless you only want the sensors). I would say it is better to spend money on AD since it is working 100% of the time than on Sensors + Camera which are used only occasionally.. What's your idea about this? Then you will be able to tell if you need the camera. The car is not that big, so it shouldn't be too hard to park. I took the camera just to make sure there are no children behind the car while reversing. Too bad there are no adaptive dynamics on the TD4 RE: Adaptive Dynamics - j7david - 29-01-2012 10:10am I'd say those are both important options; is there any way you can adjust your finances to get both? If I HAD to choose, I think I'd go for the AD, assuming the car has rear parking sensors already. Adaptive Dynamics - Rootsboy - 29-01-2012 10:17am I have both and I would say the parking camera and sensors. I use them all the time. I have not driven a non AD car. But from what I has been said on this forum. Is they are totally up for the job and it's maybe something I could have lived without on my extra list. RE: Adaptive Dynamics - Craig_d1 - 29-01-2012 10:25am I had a pure which didn't have either, and my choice would be the rear camera. The car drives fantastically without AD, but the restrictive rear view was a worry, ESP. And that's exactly what I did . I added both to my order! Imagine that before reading this thread I never even thought about AD... RE: Adaptive Dynamics - item - 09-02-2012 10:27pm Hello, I'm really not happy about not being able to get the AD in the configuration for a Belgian TD4. I have spoken with the dealer today and he say : "this option is only for more power horse, no need for 150cv". Yes of course, a citroen cx or citroen ds from 1980 have more than 190cv for have a special suspension Really not happy for this apology by the dealer. Regards RE: Adaptive Dynamics - Dim$on - 10-02-2012 09:35am Why all of you pursue for AD? I have not noticed much difference in the ad are not choosing dynamic mode. A similar damping as well as on a conventional suspension. I agree in the dynamic mode the machine harder. Or my suspension is not accustomed / trained? 1500 km RE: Adaptive Dynamics - Kimv - 10-02-2012 02:13pm (10-02-2012 09:35am)Dim$on Wrote: Why all of you pursue for AD? Because apparently it's awesomeness. RE: Adaptive Dynamics - stef.c - 10-02-2012 07:47pm What I really want to know is - do the adaptive dynamics in 'standard' mode offer an improvement in ride isolation and refinement in comparison to the regular spring dampers? A lot has been said about the improvement in handling and reduced body roll in corners, quicker recovery from bumps etc. so it seems this is a given. But does it improve the overall sense of a luxury ride? I know it's probably a long way off the air suspension given in FFRR but do the AD shocks bring it closer to this than the standard shocks? In short, does it absorb the potholes/bumps better than non AD? |
