RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - mark_n - 22-10-2011 11:02am Another day, another delay - the Halewood Shambles continues. Email from my dealer this morning telling me the date has slipped from 13th to 19th January, after slipping from 13th November barely two weeks ago. Only positive is that it will be a 2012 car so trade in for the 300 bhp version should be better. I will doubtless be told though there's no demand for my choice of colours and options and that having omitted to fit the smoker's pack, they very sadly can't offer me the p-ex I might have been hoping for. RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - hybris - 23-10-2011 09:37am Next week I will decide to cancel or not... Will call my Land Rover dealer on Monday. Will also call my "other car vendor" dealer on Monday. Time to decide/act. RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - Daigriff - 23-10-2011 10:12am Whats the other option Hybris? RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - hybris - 23-10-2011 11:58am Its actually a BMW 1M Coupe. I have a X5 3.0d (E70) and a 1-series convertible. So my other options is to keep the X5 as the SUV/4*4 and replace the convertible with the 1M. So the other new car is not an option to the Evoque its a different plan overall. Love the Evoque and think its the best LR/RR ever. But I realize if I get it to late the best year to sell the X5 is passed (winter) and a better option might then be just keeping it for a couple of years as it don't drop that much in value anymore. I will then probably get back to Range Rover when its time to replace the X5 again. My options then would probably be Evoque, the new Ranger Rover (if it will have Evoque looks and good mileage), the new X5 (2013) or something else that come to market. That is my current thinking based on my situation. RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - griff - 23-10-2011 12:09pm DDay tomorrow - car should be in build with delivery circa 3rd Nov. Dealer is checking Vista in the morning to ascertain current permission. If it is set back again I'm not sure if I am prepared to wait any more. 8 months from order to no confirmed delivery is too long. RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - Daigriff - 23-10-2011 12:26pm I felt the same Griff, but when it was pushed back 5 weeks from my intended delivery date of 2nd November I took it on the chin and am waiting. Im sure yours will be fine...just hang in there RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - griff - 23-10-2011 12:33pm Yep but it has already moved from end of September. Almost as bad a having a French/ Irish rugby ref! We'll see - fingers crossed build is still on. RE: Has your build/delivery date been put back? - hybris - 23-10-2011 02:56pm Best of luck guys! Hope you get a good delivery date really soon! Know the pain...
