RE: Real world mpg - berlin2011 - 04-12-2011 12:36pm Si4 - 900km's (±560 miles) into ownership, 12.4l/100km (±23 mpg) since I took delivery. Best I saw on a >50km (±30 mile) trip was 9.9l/100km (±28mpg). Nowhere near LR's official figures but then again it may have something to do with the driver RE: Real world mpg - gw76 - 04-12-2011 03:06pm oh jeez, thats criminal. I was hoping for far better with my Si4, early days i suppose RE: Real world mpg - griff - 04-12-2011 05:21pm Checked this afternoon and after about 500 miles I'm averaging just over 30 mpg RE: Real world mpg - PJ - 04-12-2011 05:27pm 3000 miles and averaging 38 mpg on sd4 manual - been doing a lot of driving RE: Real world mpg - caroline11000 - 04-12-2011 05:28pm [quote='griff' pid='27107' dateline='1323015708'] Checked this afternoon and after about 500 miles I'm averaging just over 30 mpg [/quote Oh dear, I was kinda hoping for nearer the 40's! RE: Real world mpg - griff - 04-12-2011 05:31pm I was banking on about 42mpg based on combined advertised 44mpg I hope as mileage increases then so will mpg. RE: Real world mpg - ant - 04-12-2011 06:22pm I'm now getting about 32-33 mpg around town which is a marked improvement frm the 29 I was getting initially RE: Real world mpg - cobkelly - 04-12-2011 09:37pm In my SD4 manual I've tested on a couple of trips: 600 miles on motorway at average of 74mph (according to trip computer) and other than speed, I took it pretty easy on acceleration: avg 33.5mpg. However, I did have a passenger, two kids, a few bags in the boot and there was a reasonable headwind for half the journey. 30 miles on dual-carriageway average of 68mph (on trip computer) and being light on acceleration: avg 40mpg 100 miles around town (including some dual-carriageway at 70-75mph): 35mpg. Still a long way off the official figures and hopefully I can adapt my driving style to keep around the high 30's to 40mpg mark on most journeys. |
