Coming from an LR3 with a V8 (Disco3) this is actually a huge improvement Laughing

Just hit 3000 miles too, not sure of average speed but fuel consumption is showing as 24.4 mpg, the fuelly app is showing 23.7.....

I'm happy enough.

Ali.

Did a 15 mile journey to the NEC yesterday - mostly M42 and averaged 58!

What speed on the Motorway? I've touched 47mpg out of mine (SD4) at 55-60 constant on the flat, but 70 or hills it drops off rapidly.

It was heavy flowing traffic so 60, but I wasn't trying to be economical, couldn't beleive it when I looked at the display as best previous was around 48

Difficult to get decent MPG on motorway unless you drive like you are carrying a boot full of Eggs!!Laughing we generally drive at 80+ where possible on a quiet clear motorway and struggle to get above 32 mpg, but if the traffic is heavy on the motorway and you do 50-60 then you can quite easily achieve 40+ mpg. I think it's about right for the type of car Very Happy

We are now getting just over 40 mpg on a motorway run now, doing 60-70 in traffic (got just short of 4000 miles on the clock now) so it def is getting better with age

RE: Real world mpg - xxxx5 - 16-05-2012 08:51pm

Just hit 3000 miles, mainly motorway and town driving, getting about an average of 33mpg. Hope it improves soon.
