I still think it looks like the Audi 80/90 Funny for JLR to create this 4x4 Convertible segment, they should have used the R&D funds to explore a more powerful engine or an electric/hybrid motor. RE: Official Convertible pics - SebM - 08-03-2012 01:29pm In real, it's wonderful, but I kept mine ! It's look a production car, so I am sure they will produce it... RE: Official Convertible pics - jitenc - 08-03-2012 02:01pm it can be an all rounder car... just add a hybrid engine and a nitro gas tank at the back....it will certainly tick all the boxes for me.... oh, and an amphibious version will be the icing on the cake!!! Think i should get credits for my ideas.????.. RE: Official Convertible pics - Mudi1 - 10-04-2012 09:02pm I have driven a soft top around for 11 years, summers in the uk are not meant for such vehicles, the odd day or week in spring perhaps, but come dusk you need the heater on! I still love open tops, but think the panoramic roof many of us have chosen will be a much better choice for all seasons. yes I wished it opened, but those that do are on cars double the price range. As a concept I think the soft top evogue looks chunky, a bit like a clumsy VW golf, but it will certainly look much better in bright summer colours, after all it is seasonal vehicle with the roof down. RE: Official Convertible pics - LonnyGer - 05-08-2012 07:34pm Reminds me of The PT Cruiser from Chrysler, I have to admit I don't like this design at all, it just looks like a headless evoque. But that's only my opinion RE: Official Convertible pics - RacingSnake - 05-08-2012 11:01pm I got excited then... I thought someone had some fresh info.... Alas no RE: Official Convertible pics - LonnyGer - 06-08-2012 08:10am (05-08-2012 11:01pm)RacingSnake Wrote: I got excited then... I thought someone had some fresh info.... Alas no Sorry for that, the information that the car looks like the ptc was mentioned earlier here. There is only one convertible that has a high silhouette and looks nice and that's the rolls Royce conv. Except this one, a convertible should be more in a sports car look, like Audi,Porsche etc. I heard rumours that a xf cabrio could be introduced in the next couple of years, that could be interesting. At the moment we have a pre facelift Audi A5 conv. But the comfort in the back could be a little bit better, for example an armrest for rear passengers, also there is not much space for people with long legs, I guess the xf conv. will combine sporty looks and comfort. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure the evoque conv. will be as comfortable as the standard model, but it looks like a mad max post apocalyptic desert vehicle. Maybe this car will look a lot better in real, but judging from the pictures I think it's awful. RE: Official Convertible pics - stiggy - 10-09-2012 10:15am Horrible, horrible car agree with previous comments i.e soft top defender and Willys jeep OK, soft top Evoque nooooo will ruin the brand image in my opinion. RE: Official Convertible pics - doug - 11-09-2012 09:40am I have heard some insider news that LR are working on a hard top |
