The wife uses it daily and i haven't been keeping up with mpg but today i filled it from almost empty at a cost of £79.70 which is roughly 55.6 litres + what was left. I'll check and report back in a couple of weeks when it is run dry what we are actually getting. For those interested it is an SD4 Automatic.

Early days for me yet but i managed 38mpg indicated in my td4 manual on a 36 mile round trip to work yesterday. My car only has 200 miles on it so if i can get this to low 40's once its ran in i will be fairly happy.

still 23mpg after 2000 miles more urban than extra. Still not great. Audi TT on similar journeys gave 32mpg. 5D Si4

That's appalling, i was considering the petrol version, i'm now reconsidering, especially as fuel is about to rise even further..

A heavy car with a 2 litre turbo petrol engine used in urban areas? I think thats about what i would expect.

Agree with Ed, why would you honestly expect any more in your situation. It weighs over 2 tonnes.

This thread is a good point of information for users but there has to be a degree of realism surely. I got that mpg from a 300bhp Audi S3, come on guys.

It’s got to be bloody close, besides it’s not the most aerodynamic of designs is it and surely that and the weight is what this is about..?
