I think the footrest is more important for those with manual cars. For automatics, there's lots of space to stretch out your leg to the left of the brake pedal.

i have ordered the footrest for MY16.5 HSE dynamic (no still it is not standard)
I drilled te holes .. followed the instructions.. ok it looks nice.. but its not solid at all.; u can pull it of with no sweat ..
i really do not like it ..because U cannot make a firm install of the footrest...
if anyone has a solution for that .. im all ears

I have a RHD manual and fitted the foot rest with the double sided tape that came with it, cost £9.95 from PowerfulUK, simple and effective, nice addition.

Double sided tape from EBay, so far so good as per staying put. If it comes loose then I'll just replace the double sided tape again.

I have the same as xoz, fitted for 4 years, and still perfect.
