Are you suggesting your physical distance to Gaydon means you're party to information before others? Or do you have super-human hearing that allows you to hear conversations up to 7 miles away? RE: FUEL CONSUMPTION Si4 / SD4 REAL LIFE NUMBERS - bluebear - 10-01-2012 01:43pm I've done just over 3,000 miles, mainly a long journey on the A1, mixed in with short trips to work on a duel carriageway. Fairly consistent at a shade over 35 mpg RE: FUEL CONSUMPTION Si4 / SD4 REAL LIFE NUMBERS - caroline11000 - 10-01-2012 01:59pm When I first got my SD4 Auto 4 weeks ago it was averaging 32 mpg. The car has now done 1,000 miles and this last week has been averaging 37mpg, using 'b' roads on 50 mile round trip school runs! RE: FUEL CONSUMPTION Si4 / SD4 REAL LIFE NUMBERS - hybris - 11-01-2012 07:50am SD4 did 0.9 liters per mile (Swedish mile) in the latest test in auto motor and sport (Swedish). That is the same IRL mileage as the X5 3.0d (X5 specced at 0.75l/mile bit IRL 0.9). So it seems to be a quite thirsty engine in reality in the Evoque. FUEL CONSUMPTION Si4 / SD4 REAL LIFE NUMBERS - QueJumper - 11-01-2012 11:58pm Not seen an Eco LR yet in any model. Unless you look at the 2wd models and really you can't seriously call them a LR can you! RE: FUEL CONSUMPTION Si4 / SD4 REAL LIFE NUMBERS - Grah - 12-01-2012 09:06am Done 1800 miles so far in a SD4 auto (5 door) - so far averaging 32 mpg with 20 mile commutes which are about 1/3 urban, with some longer journeys. It's still a great car but LR's mileage claims are a joke - I wonder if they tested them in zero gravity to negate the car's mass? RE: FUEL CONSUMPTION Si4 / SD4 REAL LIFE NUMBERS - PhilSkill - 12-01-2012 10:08am From the other mpg thread you'll also see, currently at 1800 miles and getting 34.3 mpg on my similiar commute, but I do notice i'm using a lot less fuel than previously in the Mazda that reports 33mpg, but i'm also driving very differently in the diesel rather than the petrol. Still hoping this will improve after 5000+ miles. Generally i'm not overly concerned at the moment. |
