Hi All,
New to this forum,
2012 Pure Tech SD4 Auto in Barolo Black with ebony headlining
Privacy glass, Power Tail Gate, Command shift, style 7 wheels, auto dipping rear view mirror , Love it...
Looking at some of the figures quoted 37 mpg seems to be average not to shabby. Currently just hit 40k and i keep getting around 39mpg for motorway and 36.5 in town. I had an AWD Jag x type before and that was only ever getting around the 22mpg for a motorway run so it looks like things will get better in time...

I am always a little suspect and interested in how owners arrive the figures they quote. If they are taken from the on board trip/computer then at least 2-3 mpg should be removed as they are always very over optimistic. The only accurate method is to methodically record how much fuel is purchased and the mileage covered for at least 4 or 5 fill ups, the more fill ups and records the more accurate the recordings.

Hi,In reply to the previous post on the calculation of MPG.
All of my facts/figures as reported on this forum are from accurate data that is cross checked.
The on board MPG figures are 2 to 3 MPG in advance of the actual calculated MPG.
Up to approximately 3,000 miles from new,I refilled the vehicle to the first pump cut off,but we are all aware that this is subject to a number of factors that can result in different cut off's when refilling.
Since 3,000 miles I have refilled the vehicle to brim full and also fully recorded all of the data on trip mileage,total mileage,average,on board MPG,speed etc., so that I can compare the details
However the MPG as recently reported by myself is brim/brim full using the mileage between the fill ups.
I have a total log from new of each and all data at point of refill,including an estimate of the dealer fill at new.
However the last 1300 miles brim/brim have resulted in an actual average of 45 MPG.

Likewise with the previous poster, I always do a brim-to-brim check using the same garage and pump to eliminate any inaccuracy with the vehicle not being level.
The trip on both Evoques and our previous FL2 have been more accurate than I expected. The fuel ecconomy on our current Evoque is significantly better than our previous one. Accurate trip computor or not, it goes much further between fill-ups.

Using US figures, I am getting very close to the estimates. Around town here I'm getting 20-21 MPG, and highway I've gotten between 26-30 MPG on a variety of road trips with most of it cruising at ~65-70 mph.

well, no, nearly all major interstates are 65 and some are 70 now, and up to five mph over won't grab the attention of any state troopers or local police unless they are the sort to ticket their own mothers.
