Did you have to drill holes into the footwell or did the plugs just fit into existing holes behind the carpet ?

It looks very nice, and better than the eBay ones

Hi, you just have to drill 3 little holes into
the carpet and the behind lying foam about 1,5 cm deep
no big deal en easy Thumbs Up

So you don't have to drill into the metal floor / wheel wells right ?

Is it an easy do it yourself install ?

no drill into the metal floor, and yes it is easy to do .
users manual is included with the footrest.
