That will be nice to see. I have ordered bonnet vents and will be installing at my local car painter. Hope it is worth it and wont spoill the excellent looks of my white 5door dynamic.

The final pictures with the all black vinyl under the vent. The only thing I would change is the thickness of the 3m tape I used it has caused a slight gap around the edge of the vent but you can get thinner tape, I received the tape as a gift and did not want to buy some. If any one is interested I have one bonnet vent spare which I dropped and marked the paint if you are going for black or a different colour it can be painted or leave it the colour Atlas and live with mark, It is all ready to be fitted so you can copy for the second vent. I can send pictures of the mark on the vent open to offers was £86.
P.S I would like to thank

The mod looks awesome. I'm thinking of doing the same for my Fuji White dynamic when I receive it.

RE: Bonnet Vents - ED209 - 17-05-2012 11:10pm

so what was the total cost of this mod? you live close by, fancy doing mine lol?

RE: Bonnet Vents - garryforrestuk - 18-05-2012 01:19am

Ed the total cost was £86 each for the vents from Dan at Duckworth's and 99p for the black vinyl under the mesh grill. 3m tape can be costly but just look on eBay. Or use Land Rovers silicone and this will give you a perfect fit. JB7 who did the conversion using the correct bonnet estimated the cost at £1000+vat for bonnet, painting, and vents,so my conversion was a little cheaper. And I am very happy with the final result. The gap in the tape has worked when it was raining the water was trickling out of the vent.

As there is a hole under the vent on my coupe, what purpose does it serve that the 5 door doesn't need
Just a thought

RE: Bonnet Vents - ED209 - 18-05-2012 08:22am

So about £190 for the mod? A bit pricey for a couple bits of plastic.

Suppose i had better keep my cash really seeing as the home secretary seems intent of shafting my future financial plans. If i knew what she was going to do a year ago i probably wouldnt have bought one in the first place.
