The trouble with changing dealer is that you end up at the end of their waiting list RE: Land Rover Not Accepting Coupe Orders? - cjfp - 07-05-2011 04:57pm Having emailed my dealer in the week, he has just come back to me and says he has looked into it and is unaware of any issues. We'll soon see if anyone can get any news at Evoque Live. RE: Land Rover Not Accepting Coupe Orders? - LRX - 07-05-2011 07:33pm I know two people who work within Land Rover, one specifically with the Evoque and they also confirm there are no problems. RE: Land Rover Not Accepting Coupe Orders? - cjfp - 07-05-2011 07:37pm We need comment from EvoqueMaker who, I believe, makes Evoques! RE: Land Rover Not Accepting Coupe Orders? - GeordieBoy - 07-05-2011 10:50pm I think you will find this relates to the fact that the Coupe is looking likely to be built in lower volumes. Our first batch was for 7 cars. We have one of the biggest order banks in the country I believe and we only got 2 Coupe and 5 five doors. So a dealer that has a order take of a lot less than ours will get a smaller supply, say 1 coupe and 3 5 doors. If they have a high number of people wanting coupes then you'll be in for a long wait, hence perhaps them making out that its Land Rover not taking orders? RE: Land Rover Not Accepting Coupe Orders? - cjfp - 08-05-2011 07:42am This is the same explanation as my dealer gave - however it seems a low / poor amount of vehicles that LR might be supplying to each dealer at the outset And if u r getting 2 coupe at the start (any particular model?), how long r u expecting to wait for number 3, 4 etc ?? RE: Land Rover Not Accepting Coupe Orders? - GeordieBoy - 08-05-2011 12:58pm The initial build allocation is small, this doesn't meen that the next allocation (end sept ETA for delivery I think??) will be this small, I'd suspect it to be bigger. The initial allocation is allowing for the fact they will be building dealers cars at the same time. Each dealer will be getting 6 cars (well at least we will be), 3 will be for Demo, 3 will be showroom cars Latest halewood news - Evoquemaker - 14-05-2011 05:18pm Working on 3 and 5 door evoques today. Good news at last, thanks Evoquemaker So do they go together like a dream or are there still refinements/tweeks needed to help the build?
