I have noticed that someone well ok ..lots of peeps havn't had an Alfa. This is surely not the place to be saying this, as you are all listing your cars without having the love affair of an Alfa ... I cannot believe this...
Tha Alfa is like the perfect car.... especially the best sounding V6 ever made. An Alfa has soul beyond any other car Ive ever driven including my beloved quattro's. And before anyone says what about the 911 and 355 -Ive driven those aswell -very nice but they havnt got the every day 'Q' car feel of the old days of a Fiat SuperMirafiori or 132 originally known as 'wolf in sheeps clothing'
The Alfa ..any Alfa has the genes of a supercar but is far more comfortable and usable everyday and you will love it ..until ...it breaks...

I think 38 is the record so far! Best and worse ones and why would be interesting?

Started driving in 2002 at 17: 1 car per year since!

Renault Clio 1.4RT
Renault Clio sport
Citroen C2 VTS
Renault Clio 182
Vauxhall VX220 turbo (car i was most scared of)
Caterham 7 supersport (most fun)
Lotus Exige (best track car and probably my favourite)
Porsche Cayman S (worst handling car, but obscene torque and very comfortable)
Honda S2000 (best all rounder, will get another)
Alfa Romeo 147 Ti JTDm (most expensive to run!)
RR evoque Sd4 dynamic (due next week)

That's some list for a 28 year old (hope my maths are okay) but why was the Cayman the worst handling...they get great write ups.

Best was probably Aston Martin DB9 (although I have loved Range Rovers for over 27 years and had 7).
Worst ................................. do you know, I don't have a "worst". I had some unreliable cars, some leaky, draughty cars, some I wish I hadn't bought, but still remember fondly. If I was pinned down, then I guess it would have to be a 1987 Rover 216. I bought it 2nd hand to commute to Bristol airport and leave there for 2 weeks at a time. However, it never let me down, lasted a year and a half and I sold it for more than I paid. It just had no style!!!!

27 at the moment. 28 in August. I guess I'm just a complete petrol head (hence why i have ordered a SD4!).

The Porsche was great, but I took it to Brands and it was over 5 seconds slower than the Exige with half the horsepower. It was fine on the road, which is ultimately what it is built for and most people would agree it is a great road car. However, it is set up to be safe and understeers like a shopping trolley, which always turns to massive oversteer once the fronts regain grip. It is an absolute pig to drive quickly. Even my S2000 was quicker around a track and had soooooo much more soul than the cayman. I think Porsche built a mid engined car, found out that works so much better than a RR, and toned it down so that it didn't take the 911 on.

I love my Alfa and I don't want her to go.... So soulful, but it is the least reliable 4 year old car I have ever had. I'm glad I've had one, perhaps a tad disappointed that it wasn't an obscene V6, but probably wouldn't get another....

But then again, at goodwood this year, i saw the evoque for the first time, and said "Id rather have a sport", saw the 4c and thought I'd have one of those please! Two weeks later, deposit down on an Evoque. I'd love a 4c..... Maybe the next one.
