RE: Rubber mat set??? - J77 - 14-05-2012 02:21pm I use the OEM rubber mats and are ok, they do the job but I don't think they are very range roverish. I very rarely take passengers so I may keep the rubber one in my side (work car park is like a swamp in wet weather) and replace the rest with the OEM carpet ones. RE: Rubber mat set??? - Tony - 14-05-2012 04:18pm I bought the Evoque rubber mat set from my dealers parts counter with a good discount as they charge full price if supplied with the car. However the drivers side mat is a total waste of money, I use a drivers side original LR rubber mat from an FL2 which fits OK - AND protects the carpet. RE: Rubber mat set??? - Daglass - 14-05-2012 04:56pm I have the rubber mats and I think they cheapen the inside of the car. No matter how many times you clean them they always look 'used' RE: Rubber mat set??? - doug - 14-05-2012 05:26pm (14-05-2012 04:18pm)Tony Wrote: I bought the Evoque rubber mat set from my dealers parts counter with a good discount as they charge full price if supplied with the car. Are you saying that a drivers side mat from a FL2 covers the complete footwell (under the padles) ? and is a good fit ? Hi Doug, Yes, Evoque and FL2 are very similar underneath. On the drivers side the FL2 mat comes up under the pedals. Mine were bought a few years ago so the design may have changed, worth seeing if your dealers parts guy will let you try one in your Evoque. In addition the FL2 mats are made of a softer rubber and clean up better, my Evoque rubber mats always look secondhand. I had looked at some of the Universal fit ones, but they just don't look right with all these "cut here areas". So a FL2 mat it is RE: Rubber mat set??? - Straydox - 14-05-2012 09:23pm I've bought a set of these Carmats4u.com link Another forum member suggested these guys - and their tailored Evoque driver's foot well mat is larger than the RR version - has a user choice on border edging and is less than half the price. The mats are very high quality, thick and heavy too and use the standard factory fixings - I'll get my RRE tomorrow morning and will post pictures before long. RE: Rubber mat set??? - bmitch - 14-05-2012 09:40pm Bought mine from them to and they look good............just need a car to go with them now! Tricky to answer when one hasn't bought the pukka RR ones , however unlike the real thing these look like they go further up under the pedal area - as mentioned in my post I'll post pictures after collection tomorrow. |
