RE: paint and plastic protection - Roidman - 29-10-2011 03:32pm Has anyone came across this protection technology? http://www.armorcoatusa.com/ RE: paint and plastic protection - bell-auto-services - 29-10-2011 06:28pm Looks good but watching the video it is 6mm thick once applied which may cause problems. I also dont like the idea of flat sanding or scotch brighting the car before applicationto make sure it sticks. I think the frint bumper on the Evoque could do with some protection somehow from stone chips but i wont be going for this type of solution. Pete RE: paint and plastic protection - cjfp - 29-10-2011 11:15pm Haven't watched the vid yet (on my phone at Month) but 6mm (@bas above) seems very thick - reading the 'About' page seems to indicate 0.6mm RE: paint and plastic protection - bell-auto-services - 30-10-2011 02:16pm Humm. I'll watch it again may be I miss heard when he said the thickness. Pete RE: paint and plastic protection - PhilSkill - 01-11-2011 03:13pm Had this Collinite Wax recommended to me, any experience here? http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/collinite/476-super-double-coat-wax.aspx RE: paint and plastic protection - whizzer - 02-11-2011 08:47am ^ Its a good wax for Winter - Durability is pretty good . I use Collinite 915 (a couple of coats) - last put on in March, and still beading like crazy (needs buffing immediately, panel at a time - if it dries it's a b****r to get off !) RE: paint and plastic protection - whizzer - 02-11-2011 01:07pm ^ you can help with a little QD to remove if this happens RE: paint and plastic protection - JohnMartyn - 16-11-2011 09:56pm I took my car in to "Rust Check" on Regent last year for a rust proofing treatment. It cost about $120 for a small Honda. For localized and tough stains that resist soap and water, try Fantastic, and if that doesn't do it, try some isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol) available from drug stores. RE: Advice please - Big G - 24-11-2011 04:07pm Was going to get my RRE a CQuartz detailing treatment after purchase. Spoke to the detailer and he's advising that I contact the dealer to stop them from valetting the car before I take delivery as this is what causes all the squirls, holograms appearing. Is this really the case - am I being too anal and should I just do this myself? Site is at http://www.spiritdetailing.com |
