Mines now on about 1200miles and is still 34 average. Have a freelander for few days. Manual td4 150bhp. Pretty torquey. That's doing about 40mpg!!!

RE: Real world mpg - mark_n - 01-11-2011 09:40am

And there I was thinking the Si4 would at would at least match my Subaru Impreza (27-28 mpg)...

RE: Real world mpg - lrdaft - 01-11-2011 09:40pm

800miles on the clock and now down to 31 mpg Crying
If this does not improve I think it may go on the market
Should have kept tdv8 rr I could get 29mpg with it and 33 on my tdv6 sport

Hope my ed4 2wd turns out reasonably close to 50 mpg. I do 30kpa, sometimes more. My current company vehicle, my predecessors choice, is a 1.5tdci Qashqai so you can tell I'm counting down to delivery of the rr (mid April I hope)... but to be fair to the Nissan (also a 2wd) it got through last winter on standard tyres very well in some of the worst weather for years, only 2 days I didn't get in.

I average 50mpg on usual commute, 120 miles a day mostly A roads, though if I completely wring it's neck I've got that under 40 mpg. Interestingly, mpg is down a bit from 52mpg, having replaced front tyres with same brand (conti eco contacts), a couple of thousand miles back but this time only plain air in them rather than nitrogen. I was sceptical about nitro fill before, but it was done by kwik fit free anyhow so thought, "whatever," but it does seem to have a small measurable benefit.

My Si4 now averaging 21mpg.

Dynamic, what sort of driving mix is that? 21 mpg is not great!
