Barneyridge,

Not the range rover ones, just the evoque and landrover one of the tailgate. I took some pics before and after. Just been having issues uploading them tonight.

Congrats! Can't wait to see the car!

Glad the surprise worked out well! Always a great sense of achievement when the wife is happy no doubt haha!

Hey Barney

I know its been covered in countless threads by other menbers but which method of removing the badges do you use? I am looking to remove the LR badge and eventually the RR lettering and replacing them with black letters.

Hey spif888,

The badges are only held on by double sided tape. I just used my fingers to lift the edge of the badge away from the paint then carefully put a fine pointed screwdriver unde the edge and slowly peeled it back. The tape is quite strong but comes off without any damage. Then just used a bit of maguires wet look cream polish the remove the dirty outline of the badge and voila..

"fine pointed screwdriver" ! Very brave. Nice bit of floss works well and reduces risk.

Good idea.. didnt think of that.. But i lifted the badge far enough away from the paint so it wasnt anyware near it.

I used fishing line, there was residual tape which came off with a finger nail then a fine cut polish finished with wax. I only took off the evoque and LR badges. Looks cleaner.

I was going to take off the black blob at the back but had second thoughts. What was interesting, I took off the front number plate and the plates is simply screwed into the front bumper bar, there are no mounting points/ bolt holes. Therefore was thinking if required you could simply replicate that st the back, ie just some self tapers. I think the double sided tape would be preferable though.

Mate the car looks awesome. How was the dealer polish. I just fixed mine yesterday getting rid of the dealer supplied swirl marks.
