Stupid question time... guessing it might be a country specific thing.
Why do you blank out your number plates when you post photos?
Here in Australia - knowing someones numberplate is useless - you can't get any information about them, there is no website to look up the owner or vehicle info. Is it different overseas?

It is possible in the uk. The other thing that some people can be wary of is cloning numbers so that someone with a stolen evoque put your plates on the car. It can mean lot of hassle with the police sending speeding fines etc. through to your home when it was actually the thief that was breaking the law.
