I noticed that the Si4 has a higher insurance group than the SD4. Don't know what the difference in premiums is.

No body tried NFU??
All my insurance is through them and they are really good. I haven't asked yet, but they always lump the Defender and whatever RR I have together and it is always very reasonable.

I ran a moneysupermarket comparison last night and was getting quotes around the £650 mark (9yrs no claims, 28yrs old, clean licence living in London). I'm sure I'll be able to improve on this.

Spoke to Adrian Flux this morning (my current insurance is through them) and they told me it would be over £2000! They told me the vehicle value is too high for them to be competitive.

defender_uk - My dad uses NFU for his Discovery. He isn't a farmer. I think he mentioned that the policy allows him to carry livestock... I'll check them out.

LP, let me know how you go, same age and also in London. I think the best I found so far was around the 650 Mark also but it's been a while since I checked.

I am currently with Admiral Multi-car and am replacing my Porsche Cayman.
To get an idea of what I will have to pay, I have just done an online 'single car' quote from Admiral for Pure Tech SD4 Coupe Manual (so £36k), 11 yrs NCD, 6000miles pa, no points or accidents etc and it came out at £479. I am 41, live in rural Hampshire. Car parked on drive. This price would actually be lower for me when it is integrated into my multicar policy. Not bad but will keep looking.

Out of interest have you compared to LR insurance? They have a naff website where you can't amend anything once it works out the premium so no making mistakes!

And you told me you were 25 Shocked
