Were kind of different in the US sometimes not in a good way. Like we don't have parking assist but a parking warning instead. Won't mind owning a diesel

As a previous reply states they use radar to detect overtaking vehicles, however what you may think is the system getting confused could be that it uses a predictive system, so that something not yet in your blind spot but heading for it will trigger the warning lights.

Hopefully when my Evoque will come in Feb/March (fingers crossed) it will have it as I tend to like this system.

The (at least US version) Vision Assist package for the Dynamic 5 door now includes the Blind Spot Monitoring. Initially this feature was only available on Coupes.

Vision Assist Package

Package includes:
Headlamps - Automatic Adaptive Xenon HID with LED signature lighting
Automatic headlamp leveling
Headlamps - Automatic High Beam Assist
Surround Camera System with Towing Assist
Blind Spot Monitoring

My newly built Dynamic has it listed on TOPIx too Smile Chances are it's not a mistake.

Cool. Our cars are due just about at the same time. Hopefully they won't disappoint us.

Please post here when your cars arrive. My 5 door won't be here until March or April, but I'm also hoping it will have the Blind Spot Monitors when it comes in.

I drove by my Land Rover Dealer today and found that they had just received three new 5 door Evoques. There were two Dynamic models and one Prestige. All three had the Blind Spot Monitoring System. All of them also had a $450 charge on the window sticker for the system. I wonder if the dealers will charge us extra for the system or if they will include it in the original price. I'll give my salesman a call this week.
