Did a run on motorway last week m25/m1/m6 then back to London averaged 40mpg steady at 70/80 mph, with 4 passengers. Inner London driving at 35mpg with lots of stops and start, easy on the gas.The mileage covered so far 1300.

Just as a matter of interest ... particularly for anyone who can't match the 'official' mpg figures...

What pressure were your tyres on delivery?
Have you changed the pressure?

Mine were at 31psi all round Rolling Eyes

RE: Real world mpg - Rootsboy - 09-01-2012 10:02pm

Mine were over 40 psi. I had to check and lower them

That 40.3mpg is about what i would expect to be honest.

ED209, I would hope for some improvement when the engine loosens up and the air temperature improves but otherwise I'm perfectly happy with that figure

Right worked out what it actually did! SD4 Auto

Complete knocking about driving with a few short dual carriage way runs. My tank did 306 miles on 50.99 litres. So brim to brim works out at 27.34mpg, which is spot on almost with the computer. Mileage on car is 1800miles.

my Disco4 used to say 24.5mpg but was actually 22.5mpg done on brim to brim/worked out

Just filled up. Last tank full 56 litres. Got 391 mile out of it. So 31.8mpg. All sorts of driving. About 220 on motorway. 170urban.
