RE: 2014 vs 2016 MPG & Sound System - PhilSkill - 26-05-2016 09:04am I would expect of the 3 extra, the Front dash speaker will act as Centre and the 2 parcel shelf ones as the L + R Surround rears, so when playing stereo music I wonder if these are actually in use...? Certainly my surround system in the house doesn't use these speakers when playing music. RE: 2014 vs 2016 MPG & Sound System - sasdiscos - 28-05-2016 05:53pm Just a mention, i have had my car for 4 days now and I have the meridian 380 watt system. Ive had rrs and autobiographys in the past with the harmen kardon systems etc. This is a very good system. All speakers produce very good clear sound and the sub is very loud in my car. Its most certainly amplified, (some have mentioned problems with this). I have a very expensive setup in home, for a car and the fact it is/was standard for a time, its very good indeed. Don't forget, its the same as any speaker, they MUST be run in to sound there best, I'm guessing mine was used at low levels for most of its life before me and its worn in nicely. If you crank it up from new it will spoil the drivers and thus never produce a good sound. Steve RE: 2014 vs 2016 MPG & Sound System - PhilSkill - 28-05-2016 10:13pm Agreed the 380W is an impressive system for a Standard System (as it was when I purchased) still sounds great 4 1/2 years on. Although my Merc Burmester system does beat it, but is their top end system. |
