I have today finally got round to fitting my 'Tailgate Closing Remote' supplied by Doug, the first unit I received was faulty but fair play to Doug he sent out a replacement as soon as I informed him the first one was faulty. Works like a dream now, closes of the internal dash remote and the key, great for when its raining.
I should video it working but its just started to rain, anyone interested I can give you Doug's details.

I just found your tailgate modification by a tip in the evoqueownersforum and think it is briliant. My first questions is if you would ship to Germany? Furthermore could you add a feet control like it is installed in the new Fords and BMWs? http://vimeo.com/71595483
I now that the golf guy used some of the following part but I'm not shure what is needed:
2x Standard vehicle relays for the central locking
2x Timers, one for the interval circuit and one for the motor
1x Sick light barrier, adjustable
1x low current relay

You have you "PM function" turned off and no email listed.....
Send me an email at robling@live.com and I will forward installation instructions that include an explanation of how it works. (It takes about 10 minutes to install)
I will also include two video clips showing it operate from buttons.

Just wanted to give props to Doug. Installed the module myself following his instructions in less then 20min and it works fine.

Hi,
Purchased one of these from Rob (super helpful). Best thing I ever bought for the car.
Having clicked the wrong button from the 7th floor of a hotel (checking it was locked!), having to descend several flights of stairs etc. just to close the tailgate...never understood why RR never included this option as standard.
Really easy to fit, took about 15mins.
