RE: Paint defects..... anything I can do after 5k miles? - caroline11000 - 02-05-2013 12:43pm I had evidence of a re-spray on my first evoque (paint runs on 2 doors) which I noticed a month after delivery, I kicked up such a fuss with my dealer that they ordered me a new car! Don't know what they did with the first car as to whether they just sold it on as it was to an unsuspecting buyer or had it re-sprayed again, but I did get a letter recently from LR asking me to fill in a questionnaire about my recent breakdown and help from LR assist, I guess they still have my name on their records for the first car! Glad I didn't have to keep it now. I hope you get a satisfactory re-spray eddkawasaki RE: Paint defects..... anything I can do after 5k miles? - WB - 03-05-2013 12:47am (02-05-2013 11:30am)eddkawasaki Wrote: Quick update, I’ve got the car booked in for the warranty respray on the wing on 27th May. They are saying I will get their (the bodyshops) courtesy car which is a “class A small car” for the two days they will have it. Is it written down anywhere that we are supposed to get a like for like or better courtesy car? There's no "right" as such but as you are being inconvenienced the dealership and/or LR customer services should step up and give you a decent loan car. You may need to make a bit of a fuss but you really shouldn't have to be without the car you paid for because the factory messed up. I'd also suggest making a request for compensation from LR. |
