Worth a try - mine is a Dec 11 and I certainly do notice a difference.

Hence why it was never built

Sorry for a silly question, but what do you lose by turning off the animation ?

Only the pleasure of watching the screens change by way of an animation (ie a fade or merge etc, i cant recall what it actually does) rather than an instant screen change

Just done the Landrover experience at Ledbury (very good) and expressed my disappointment in this, the instructor said they were also frustrated but found out that most new cars have the animated display in the systems menu turned on which slows things down. He subsequently went to systems page on my car and simply switched animated display to off and hey presto now works fine. Hope this of use to others who experience similar.

I must try that as I am fed up with the slow system, thanks for the tip!

On my my2013 rre i didn't have all these animations between menu screens set from factory. Can't find such a setting in setup. Didn't dig much into setup though.

Same for me. I think LR remove them. They did some changes with the 2013 electronic and settings.

I thought I would change mine to speed it up,m and when I went into the settings, it was already set to 'off' !!Shocked

yeah its a fantasy that it makes a significant difference. Unless there is a new model year software update, I certainly, appear to be stuck with clunky slow transitions
