That's a fixed rate over 4 years comes from Clydesdale Asset Finance. Only available with a good credit record.
Cheers

To add to this finance thread, I'm going with a 4% above base floating rate, 48 month, GFV balloon payment at the end. ING asset finance, good credit rating required, etc.

RE: finance - SW6RR - 15-07-2011 10:45am

Now improved to 3.5% above base. Don't think they are going any lower!

RE: finance - RRE1 - 11-08-2011 02:42pm

Just rang http://www.broker4cars.co.uk for my finance quote got a flat rate of 3.49% with a balloon . Total finance payable was near on £3000 less than land rovers! Very Happy Lease purchase seems to be the new PCP . Still a hire purchase agreement but what I like is cause the residual are going to be approx 85% in first year if I want to sell the car after 12 months theres no extra charges as there are with pcp a further saving.

Hi Charlie
LR have been dragging their heels over finance but I have secured mine via Prestige finance at a flat rate of 3.5% which makes an APR of about 6.5%.
I'm doing a balloon HP over four years with a final balloon of £13.5k and a deposit of £11k. Bearing in mind my investments are running at 10% I think that is a good deal.
Cheers

just tried broker4cars as I had their finance a couple of years ago on a nissan 350Z there rates very good

Just checked this out with Clydesdale Asset finance they want an additional £300 associated fees which brings the APR rate up to 7.5% been to broker4cars got 7.2% APR flat rate 3.49 fees £150 ! Cheapest around I think, but will keep shopping

I suspect that you work for brokers4cars.

You really should quote APR rather than flat rate (as well you know!).

NAUGHTY!

As they like to say, past investment performance is no guide to the future and since you made that comment, markets have collapsed so it would be surprising if you are still 10% ahead of where you were a year ago. -10% would be good.

Everyone needs rainy day money and a pension needs the longest of long term views - this turmoil highlights the need to move into lower risk investments as you approach retirement. It probably does not make sense to sell loss-making investments to fund the car - much too late - but, if you have spare uninvested cash on deposit, I think it's better to use it to buy the car rather than increase your indebtedness, which is what I am doing.

Always quote APR dont work for broker4cars !! Fees with Clydesdale or Prestige both the same at £300.00! Whereas B4C cheaper all round

7.2% APR is OK, but not great. The best deals found so far sit at around 3.5-4% above LIBOR (APR).
