Even when I first went to my dealer in March they had around 55 deposits. A few have dropped out since, but I still think I will be lucky to see a car before the end of the year. Is your dealer hidden away so that nobody knows about them? I think most dealers are only getting a handfull of cars for September delivery (around 6 or 7) so you have been very lucky to be allocated a car from that build. Just turned very green! Wonder if there are many TT owners jumping, or additionally buying Evoque's! RE: Dealers Deposits! - Ewok - 19-05-2011 02:25pm I put my deposit down in November last year before 5dr was officially announced and was told I was the 1st on their list for a 5 dr. I seem to have been bumped back a few spaces as when the dealer was getting people in to spec their cars, other people jumped in before me. Now expecting car either 26th Sept or 4th oct. Although now considering waiting for the Santorini black as not convinced with the Sumatra. Fingers crossed they'll have the new colours at earls court tomorrow RE: Dealers Deposits! - vinda - 19-05-2011 03:03pm (19-05-2011 01:14pm)Pricy147 Wrote:(19-05-2011 09:06am)paulus599 Wrote: Current cars: Audi TTS Roadster How do you know. Have you driven one? RE: Dealers Deposits! - paulus599 - 19-05-2011 03:29pm (19-05-2011 01:14pm)Pricy147 Wrote: Hope your Evoque is not replacing it Yes, it is replacing the TTS. It's going to be a huge change but hopefully a good one I know that when LR were developing the evoque they benchmarked it against the TT, Mini cooper, BMW's etc. and that they were expecting conquest sales from those marques, I still can't see it being anything like my current car though! The RS must be an absolute monster. The S is plenty fast for me and I certainly wouldn't like to be spending even more on fuel RE: Dealers Deposits! - dinz - 19-05-2011 04:11pm (19-05-2011 01:14pm)Pricy147 Wrote: I got a TTRS Roadster, and the Evoque is definately not a replacement! Wonder if there are many TT owners jumping, or additionally buying Evoque's! I'll be replacing my TT Coupe with an Evoque, although I won't be ordering until the end of the year as I need to make sure my finances stack up. I've seen your TTRS over on the tt-forum and it's a corker mate In my eyes the Evoque is the only SUV/Crossover/4x4 in the £30k (ish) bracket that comes anywhere near the same feelgood factor as the TT (purely based on pics from the web etc as i've not seen one in the metal yet). RE: Dealers Deposits! - Urban Splash - 19-05-2011 07:24pm Not sure if you are in the UK how you have an August build date. First build date as I understand is in September.... First build date as I understand is in September.... I have got a August build. I had it confirmed with someone who works at LR. He even told me the exact date. It will take about a month to build and I should get my motor in September. I suppose there are many cars being built in August ready for all of the September deliveries. RE: Dealers Deposits! - andymc0001 - 19-05-2011 10:19pm A month to build! more like 20hrs. They'll be stock piling them for three months so every dealer gets them at the same time. My lad started there two weeks ago and he's not starting production till June, just training etc. |
