Wasn't expecting to buy a car Saturday - but wandered into Barbagallo's here in Perth for a look.

End result - shiny black Evoque sitting in my driveway now Very Happy

I think I did OK - 72k driveaway was apparently 78k list.

3 Door Pure, Si4, Tech Pack (full leather), Rear Vents, 18" Rims, rain sensing wipers, auto headlights, errm I'm sure there was something else, but the whole pricing thing was incredibly complex taking into account model variations, options, LCT and business tax vaguaries...

I would have taken the sporty diesel if I had the option, but they only had a few configurations available for immediate delivery (too impatient Smile )

edit: oh - Black on Black with brushed trim

Cheers,

Pete

Did you get your Evoque from Austral? If so, did they throw in any goodies/gifts or extras on collection?

Yes it was from Austral. They gave me a $100 voucher to spend on anything at the dealership and offered to get in Range River gear. More LandRover gear than Range Rover available but you could spend it on luggage racks or something for your new toy.

2 weeks on and I still love it. Love having Porsches slow down for a better look. A guy down the road who owns a Porsche and a Ferrari 360 asked me to show him my Evoque the other day.

The car makes a whining noise from the engine when I unlock it and when it's turned off. I believe this is the glow plugs warming/cooling.

Have seen only 2 evoques on the road in Sydney (north side anyway). One is a fuji with a rather cute driver - have seen her on the bridge and down at Freshie Beach. Saw a second today - grey, also heading south on the bridge in am peak hour.

Anybody from here?
