Thanks folks. Enough concern for me to just send my dealer an email for an update. If it's delayed until 2012 then I'm buying a low mileage RRS on offer this week (and even if it's not delayed, the QA problems mentioned in this thread on cars in production may also put me off).

IKM, Same idea as me.. Its hard to organise the sale of my current car when the date mine arrives isn't known..

Unfortunately the dealers seem to be last to know.. These cars arent in any way cheap, (especially not in aus) and this experience is really taking the shine off for me...

If LR wernt greedy and put xenons on all vehicles as a LOT of cheaper cars have as standard then there wouldnt be a problem with the supply as it could have been accounted for..

I'm the same as you.. any more f arounds and its a 2nd hand RRS for me too..

3VOQU3 - when is your car estimated to arrive? did you order it from Barbagallo?

Maybe we should create a RRE owners club in Perth - in 2013 when there is actually enough of us around to actually be classified as an owners club... at this rate it's not happening anytime soon.

I wish I could go for a second hand RRS - but I just don't have the heart to back down from my RRE - call me stubborn, arrogant, spoilt.... the RRE is just simply perfect in pretty much all aspects. I'm sure the RRS will also be changing in 2013 and I don't want to have to lose much more value on a second hand RRS because i was impatient.

In my opinion, the benefits of waiting for the evoque outweigh the benefits of buying an RRS. And for me, the key issue is money - well I think for most people in AUS buying imported cars - the main issue is the price we pay for cars. And then to lose quite a lot of money on a second hand RRS when a brand new shape comes in.... I can't afford that.

Besides.. I like having new things... (maybe thats it....).

My car goes into build next week. Had this confirmed by the dealer today. Grateful if anyone else can confirm they have heard the same.

I heard back from my dealer tonight. He's apparently looked into the rumour of further delays and can' t find any substance to them. Assures me that all is ok .... But added, with RRE you can never be sure. So I'll wait .......!

LP, my dealer has confirmed I am still on for build next week on the 25th - no delays from the factory. Lets see what happens next week - good luck!
