RE: Panoramic Roof - vision*R - 30-05-2011 08:36am Yes it can be stopped at any point. While I was initially impressed with the pano roof and even more with the blinding, I decided to remove it from my option list. The glass starts above the driver's head, even slightly behind you if you're not 2 meters long. Sitting in the front seats, you don't even notice it. It would be an option to please kids or back passengers, both of which I don't have in my car at a regular basis. RE: Panoramic Roof - cjfp - 30-05-2011 08:54am I have kept it because it gave a lot more headroom (and even more impression of more headroom) RE: Panoramic Roof - paulus599 - 30-05-2011 10:31am (30-05-2011 08:54am)cjfp Wrote: I have kept it because it gave a lot more headroom (and even more impression of more headroom) I thought it would be an absolute essential on the coupe, just to give that extra bit of headroom. However after sitting in one on Saturday which didn't have one fitted, I would say that even without, there is enough room for it not to be a consideration (even in the back). I will definately still go for it, but only because of the extra light and feeling of space. RE: Panoramic Roof - DynamicRRV - 30-05-2011 11:28am IMO its a must have at purchase and resale. RE: Panoramic Roof - vision*R - 30-05-2011 11:30am Thought of that as well, but my dealer specifcally replied it wouldn't make a difference (certainly not a € 800 difference), especially since I'll be reselling in 3-4 years when there won't be a big second hand market yet. RE: Panoramic Roof - DynamicRRV - 30-05-2011 11:48am Well put it this way,a Mini with a panoramic roof at even 8 years old sells twice as fast and at a premium than a tin roofed counterpart. RE: Panoramic Roof - Alex - 31-05-2011 11:44am If you check out my video (in 1080p HD) from the Birmingham NEC event, towards the end of the video I show the Pure interior with panoramic roof and opening closing. I also show a shot of the Prestige coupe win non panoramic roof to give you an idea of the interior space without one. However once the blind is shut it sort of adds a nice contrast plus changes the acoustics as the material absorbs the sounds instead of bouncing of glass when blind is open (the blind material is fairly thick and almost feels solid when shut, same material as headlining so alludes to a solid roof). Not an option I'll be ordering.
