It looks a much more professional effort at a phone mic than the said black box behind the mirror.

can one of the OPs post a photo of said black box please? and then we can all check (and maybe figure out what it is)
at the moment I don't think this is in my car but need a photo to be sure.

Lifted a screenshot from a parts catalogue at http://lrparts.ru/ so it might be their parts bin reference number or something similar.
