To be honest they look pretty good as they appear Much bigger than the Pea Shooters on the SD4!! I would say that wouldn't I!! ANyway, after much deliberation and the crappy difference in performance we are sticking wit the Td4 but I think I have finally decided to go with the Privacy!! RE: Td4 Vs SD4 - ant - 17-09-2011 06:48pm I was told at Evoque Unleashed that the 190 hp engines have two exhausts and the 150 hp engines have one exhaust. I'm assuming this applies to the UK market only. ANT: RE: Td4 Vs SD4 - THEMACS - 17-09-2011 06:55pm Ant, I am pretty sure they are all Pre Production models as All SD4's have dual pipes as far as I know, certainly in the UK. It could be that they were wrongly Badged!! RE: Td4 Vs SD4 - ant - 17-09-2011 07:02pm I think all the vehicles at Evoque Unleashed were SD4 or Si4, all with two exhausts. But you're right, pre-production cars were all a mix and match of all things Evoque. RE: Td4 Vs SD4 - NightFox - 02-08-2012 05:45pm I know this is a bit of an old thread, but as I'm getting close to the stage where I'm going to have to go firm on my spec and decide TD4 or SD4, I thought I'd resurrect it and ask what are people's opinions another year down the line: any TD4 owners wishing they'd chosen an SD4 instead, or any SD4 owners thinking they could have just had a TD4 and saved some money? Is the SD4 worth £1000 over the TD4 or is it just a lot of money for a second exhaust pipe? Today we picked up my friends TD4 , last month i picked up my SD4 We give his car a good 260 mile trip today , it absolutely goes well on the motorway and it has plenty of shove left at high motorway speeds. How does it compare to my SD4 , its very close performance. Very close indeed The SD4 pulls a bit harder past 3700 rpm, but on the motorway in top gear there is not much in it. But one thing i can say is putting super diesel fuel in it makes a big difference to the performance. RE: Td4 Vs SD4 - BFGEvoqueMan - 02-08-2012 07:51pm All I can say is mine is well run in now with 13K km. I have never been lost for speed, and then mid range 4th/5th gear pick up from 40mph to 60mph (70 to 100kph) is very smooth and fast. I am only going to an SD4 for the next car as LR won't allow a TD4 Dynamic for the UK market. I have driven an auto SD4 and honestly I could not tell the difference in pace. |
