Southern North sea in the winter can be as bad as the North Atlantic Ocean. I had rolling on a containership of 45/50 degrees off Terschelling and Texel no containers lost but our sistership lost 70 onto the beach at Texel and then a week later another 70 over the side in the Bay of Biscay. That's what you have insurance for. So it won't be trackable via VIN? Sad for those nice cars, went from Southampton with QM2 to the US and we had a terrible storm for a 2 days, I was really scared . Back to the topic: so is the car going from halewood with a train or a truck to Southampton and will be shipped from this point to Bremerhaven in Germany I guess!? So it won't be trackable at all via the VIN? RE: Shipping time & tracking of ship - LonnyGer - 09-11-2012 09:15pm P.S. Car shows up on topix but can not be tract via the wwl site (wallenius wilhelmsen, or is it possible that the car will be shipped by another transport company? Good to here that your car is now on the way to you! Hopefully it will arrive soon, fingers crossed for you!!! Shipping time & tracking of ship - Filski - 21-11-2012 06:45am About time I have a chance to post in this thread. I've just been given a tentative delivery date of early March. Working backwards I think I'm running a risk of a very early Jan build (needs to be on the boat by beginning of Feb). Any word on the quality I can expect out of Halewood after the Xmas cheer has died down? RE: Shipping time & tracking of ship - durham70 - 06-12-2012 12:38am Got confirmation that my Evoque is now built - current ETA 22 January 2013 RE: Shipping time & tracking of ship - Ringo - 06-12-2012 02:57am (06-12-2012 12:38am)durham70 Wrote: Got confirmation that my Evoque is now built - current ETA 22 January 2013 Congratulations durham Sounds like yours is on the same boat as mine. My dealer rang on Monday and gave me my Vin number. The ship left Southhampton on the 4th, due in Melbourne on the 8th Jan. Should be a two week wait after that - customs, and preparation. Won't be the Christmas present I was hoping for, but as long as it arrives safely, that's all I care about Shipping time & tracking of ship - QUEEVO - 17-12-2012 12:11pm Good to hear guys - the wait is so worth it...! RE: Shipping time & tracking of ship - fixler - 25-12-2012 01:47am Wondering, did anyone else have their Evoque arrive on the Sunshine Ace to Melbourne? I'm new to the forum - my first post. I know my brother-in-laws's RRS was on the ''Sunshine Ace'' ship when it did it's stop in Perth a couple of months back. Shipping time & tracking of ship - Filski - 20-01-2013 01:38pm Was looking at the track of the Fedora tonight and wondered at the sudden change in direction. It's just off Spain now (left Southhampton yesterday). Looks like its running before a bit of a storm.... Go you good thing! RE: Shipping time & tracking of ship - Amadeus - 30-01-2013 01:06pm Mine left Southampton yesterday on the "Morning Calm". I'll be tracking her all the way to Port Kembla due 10 March. Hopefully it will be "calm" all the way! |
