From previous experience of trading in a Freelander and a FFRR (both also in good condition), you'll be offered a lot less than you think you'll get. I got a fair trade in price for a Mercedes and Porsche, but way under the value for a LR product.

I traded in a 2012 RR Westminster for a 2012 Evoque and lost 8K. I'm still struggling to understand just why I went through with the deal (although my girlfriend loves the Evoque, especially the colour).

if they don't offer what I'm happy with ill sell private & wait till sept to register a new evoque.

Iv always worked on a £2000 loss by PXing that way I'm never disappointed

I paid 39k last sept & dealers are still asking 39-40 for similar models to mine so I would be wanting 34 & that leaves them with 5k profit if they put up at 39.

Wow that's a big profit, at least see if you can get 35.5 or even hold strong on 36
Be interesting to see what they do offer Friday

Ill probably get more private as its still got the LR approved warranty till sept 2017 & the next 2 services FOC which is transferable to new owner.the only trouble selling cars like this is most people want finance & will go pay 5k more at a dealership.

Well I went to pick our 64 plate D-Lux up today & the service from the sales man (Mike Richardson)was 110%.Even though he insulted me with a px price of only 29k for my RRS 2012 HSE Red Edition with only 33k on clock in immaculate cond,I was wanting to px against the new my17 Evoque D-Lux with the black pack & a few extras coming out at £51,405 & I was going to let them have my car this month & wait till sept 1st for the new plate on the Evoque with all the new my17 upgrades inc the 10.2" screen & loads more extras that I cannot remember but the salesman had the brochure with them all in.

29k that is a insult Rolling Eyes
Where do LR get their prices from .... most dealers I know (not LR) work on a 2k / 2.5k profit on resale

So what's plan B Andy ???

RE: Do I or don't i - Tyrefitter - 13-05-2016 07:58pm

Plan b is advertise private,,what pi@@ed me off their is a 2012 SE in white on their forecourt (even the salesman said it is nowhere near as nice looking as mine)for £34,995.so I'm guessing they would be retailing mine at about £37000.
Plus mine has the remainder of LR approved warranty & road side assist till July 2017.

Andy.
