Aha seat belts! I wonder if this could have caused the small indentation I have on mine. The 3m film sounds like a great idea.

Lovely car Mark black pack definently stands out against the colour, nice colour of blue not a colour I have seen often on the road. Hope your enjoying the petrol engine as much as I am Smile

Helicopter tape will protect the aluminium.

While doing a wash and wax today I noticed the following annoying imperfection. A bit of dirt trapped between the paint and clear oat on the bonnet.

Probably best to just live with it rather than trying to get it fixed under warranty as I wouldn't want it to be smart repaired or re-sprayed.

On my new Ford Fiesta ST2 I found when I inspected the car at the dealer prior to delivery an almost identical bit if dirt in my bonnet paint, dealer said I could reject the car & Ford said all they would do was repaint. I said to repaint a bonnet properly you have to blend into adjacent panels & no way was I going to do that on a new car.
Nor was there any point in rejecting as the next one might have a similar problem somewhere else.

Yep that echoes my thoughts. Just asking for trouble to trying to repair. I wish I had not noticed it though.

Mark.

I noticed the defect on the first photograph you posted, but didn't want to "rain on your parade"!

Only jokingLaughing

Unless you have an enormous finger, it's one of those things that no-one else would likely notice...so no worries really!

being of a someone obsessive nature about things like this, I both feel your pain and agree that potential solutions may be worse than the problem!
