Possible, have not put much thought into the parking brakes . Yes I do rely on the auto release all the time, but I dont pull away too quick. Which is strange, as the fronts have the bigger brake set. I noticed this too and thought it strange. Washed the car for the first time last weekend when she was a week old and both rear wheels covered in brake dust but not the fronts Faulty Brake recall - Stadt Panzer - 18-12-2012 10:14pm Well checked topix and is shows a re-call for my car. Hi, I just might have an Evoque built around or on that date. Is it a big job to register with Topix? .....would like to find out if mine is affected. Do I simply need the VIN number? Do I simply need the VIN number? very simple to register on topix - don't even need your VIN to register only to look up your car and you need the last bit starting VA....... RE: Faulty Brake recall - Urban Splash - 19-12-2012 06:40pm Mine has been recalled...... if this has caused excessive wear on the rear brake pads where do I stand? Could I ask to inspect them? I have better things to do than go to the LR garage on xmas eve... RE: Faulty Brake recall - DB_NC_12RRE - 20-12-2012 10:13pm THANKS for the tips about Topix, I verified my build date is not June 11 (I'm April 21).... so no brake recall, but it does show an ECM reflash due (same thing the stealer told me when I called) Faulty Brake recall - Stadt Panzer - 20-12-2012 11:00pm Mine is booked in for tomorrow, 15 mins they tell me! Lets wait and see. Faulty Brake recall - Stadt Panzer - 21-12-2012 01:44pm All is well, dealer had the car 15 mins, checked the brakes and everything was/is as its meant to be. RE: Faulty Brake recall - realestateguy - 23-12-2012 03:00pm I've owned many cars but the Evoque has the most brake dust of any car I have ever owned. Love the car though. Will replace the pads when needed with a lower dust alternative. Not a big deal.. |
