How do you determine the current "overall software?" On the screen? (Where mine says it's 3764_120622). Thanks

Software upgrades - Inges - 07-02-2013 08:08am

Hold in the valet button for like 20 to 40 seconds select: software Version Info there you will find the overall software version.

Did you notice any changes? Faster back up camera loading or anything?

Software upgrades - Inges - 07-02-2013 01:42pm

Not really, and I'm kinda curious what the updates did with the engine, display and the burner. Gonna call the dealer and see if I can get that information from them.

Thanks for this useful thread. I checked my software version as mine is due for first service in around 2 weeks. Overall software is 3366_120109 which is what Inges version went to after it went in. Is there a later version I should be checking for when it goes in? I don't want to miss out on any improvements by not knowing what to ask for. Thanks.

My build date was Feb this year & overall software version is 3782_121019. However, I have also experienced am alarm issue so be careful what you wish for ...........

If your car is due for a software update, would it be listed under "Outstanding Campaigns" in TOPIx? And, are there different software versions for different markets? (Pretty sure the alarm issue is just another manifestation of the "battery issue" BTW).

I finally got he car back today with all the upgrades applied.

Overall Software Version before upgrade: 3316_11019
Overall Software Version after upgrade: 3366_120109

I also got the printout of the upgrades that was applied:

Parking assist control Module (I presume) (3 different upgrades available)
Powertrain Control Module
Passenger Door Module (3 different upgrades available)
Body Control Module (2 different upgrades available)
Front Control/Display inter... (Can't see all the text)
Heating Ventilation and Air... (Can't see all the text)
Audio Front Control Module: (4 different upgrades available)
Audio Amplifier Module

It seems like all the upgrades was applied one by one for each module. My car had a build date back in February 2012.
I got the versions numbers for the software that was applied as well.

And another question: Do you guys have to pay for software upgrades in UK and/or other countries?
We have to pay for software upgrades here in Norway, I didn't have too this time because of the problem with the door and that the DAB Radio didn't work until I stopped and started the car, as well as my GPS "blacking out"

Inges, can you confirm this update found posted here ?... http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-little-vibration-exactly-1400-rpm?page=2&highlight=software+updates

("ENGINE CONTROL MODULE REFLASH # Q237) ...it apparently fixed the 1400rpm slight vibration issue.

Did they elaborate on any issues in that list ? Passenger door module, heating/ventilation etc etc.

I didn't see any outstanding campains when I requested the upgrades, I had to tell them that I wanted them to connect my car to Topix and apply all the upgrades they found.

No information on what the upgrades actually fixed on the car. :( And with the 1400rpm issue I haven't noticed any issue with that before. I didn't get the printout from Topix when I had it in on service so I'm not sure if that was the engine upgrade I got.
